"Reggie’s retreat was an amazing place to stay. The dog friendly touches like water bowls and poo bags were very much appreciated. Hiking trail in walking distance and close to Lake Vermilion where we fished a couple days. The rooms were pristine and the kitchen was great. Would highly recommend!"

"Went to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Elbow Lake several times and knew what to expect. The cabin is "no frills" but that is part of the experience. It is right on the lakeshore with a deck literally a few feet from the water. The lake is quiet with very few boats making it easy to hear the frequent loon calls. It's a good kayak / canoe lake with a beautiful sand beach in front of the lodge for swimming. The on-site manger and his family are there for whatever you need....

"This house is nicely renovated inside. Roku tvs in the living room and queen bedroom. There’s a double futon in the room next to the living room. Outdated couch and chair, but comfy! Things to note: bring blankets. There’s aren’t any for the double bed, and just the comforter for the two beds upstairs. I slept with just a sheet so my daughter could have the comforter. Not the greatest neighborhood, but overall ok. Street parking that follows odd/even calendar days. Could easily walk to...

"We had two trucks/trailers full of atv’s, the driveway is pretty steep in one spot but we hauled in and out without trouble. Great relaxing environment in the cabin, sauna gets nice and hot and the lake makes a good cold plunge. Hosts were very responsive. You’ll enjoy it."

The Island had a good breeze, so the mosquitos were almost non-existent, and the trees are tall and plentiful for shade and a good resting place for a bald eagle one morning we were there. We rented the owners fishing boat and it was very nice for checking out the the different islands and bays. "There's a lot to do around this hotel, as it is situated on a lake (it's Minnesota, so this is probably to be expected). This was convenient to getting to the southeastern side of Voyageurs National Park. The room was adequately comfortable and felt clean. Breakfast begins at 4:00 a.m. which is convenient for hunters, fishing people, and truckers. They serve pizza 24 hrs/day. The staff was friendly."
