"Small kitchen with no oven (there was a toaster oven) so don't expect to cook a turkey dinner. But who wants to do that anyway. Very minor item but we could have used a garlic press. Also all the coffee pods were flavored. Very interesting selection if you don't want just coffee flavored coffee. The did have user fillable pods which came in handy since we did bring our own coffee. Comfortable bed and the A/C worked very well. Overall a great little place. "

"I stayed at the lovely cabin on Robs property a few weeks ago. It was so nice and clean and was safe for a person traveling solo. Rob was very responsive when I had a question and there was a local gentleman available for support in the event something came up. I loved his place! Thank you"

"We were in Redding for two nights for a friend’s funeral. We just needed a place to sleep basically, nothing fancy but we don’t like hotels. Janet’s lodging was perfect — simple, clean, comfortable and quiet. It’s attached to the main house but we never heard our neighbors."

"The rustic cabin exceeded our expectations for our family get together. The cabin provided comfortable sleeping space for our party of 12. The cabin was well stocked with everything one would need, including cooking utensils and other supplies. Christie is a great host and helped make our trip enjoyable. We liked the large wooden table for our meals. Nice being close to the fun center."

"We had a wonderful stay in the house which is in a very quiet place. House is comfortable, very well equipped and the master bedroom is awesome with large windows, you have the feeling to be in the trees. Outdoor is very nice too to appreciate the evenings. It’s only 20’ from Lassen Volcanic NP which is a great place to visit for several days: hiking Lassen peak with a top view, swimming in summit lake, visiting the small but well done museum, take good time at manzanita lake, etc… we stayed...

"I loved this property. I'm always on the lookout for quiet places to get away to. This property was the best I have found. Everything was quiet and perfect. Space was as advertised and everything was great. A lot of reiews mentioned the driveway, it is quite the trip to the property but in my mid-sized sedan it handled it fine. I don't think I would want to drive it in the dark but we had no issues. I would definitely return here in the future. "

"Roger’s place is just as advertised. Very similar to a hotel room, as far as accommodations - the basics for a short stay. We only stayed overnight, but it was a comfortable stay, room was very clean, safe and tucked away behind the main house, with a very nice canyon view. As others have said, yes, the bathroom is a bit dated, but there IS a big bathtub, which is rather nice (we didn’t use it). "We really enjoyed our visit. The rooms were comfortable though in our instance an extra blanket would have been appreciated. Staff was friendly and the garden path was lovely to walk to breakfast. Some gluten free bread at breakfast would be a welcome addition and we had to huff on our cards to get into the room because the cold meant the card wouldn’t work, but overall I would certainly stay again."
