"The cabin is warm and inviting. All the supplies you need are provided…kitchen and dining ware, firewood, plenty of blankets. The area is very peaceful. All we heard was the sound of leaves rustling, birds chirping and the fireplace crackling. It’s a short walk to take in the beauty of the lake and surrounding trees."

"The cabin was adorable but I didn’t realize the two person cabin had no bathroom. We were at the top of the hill and had to drive downhill to the bath house. Would have been nice to have a bathroom at least near our cabin to use at night. Also it was a surprise for the $200 deposit to come out the day before our arrival in addition to what we paid. Everything was clean and nice other than that."

"This was a super clean and nice cottage to stay in. John the host helped me with anything I needed. They also let me have my privacy. This a great for if you work for Amish and working out of town. I plan on getting this cottage again for my boyfriend and I sue to bring avid fisherman. The area was quiet and beautiful! A+++++++"

"Such a peaceful home, beautifully appointed with perfect little touches throughout. Front door framed by beautiful lead crystal windows leads to roomy front porch for morning coffee, cuddling on the swing seat with a good book, comfortable chairs for gathering. We watched the full moon come over the hill glittering on the Ohio River both from the porch and a bench at the edge of the river bank. "Reserved this for a group of writers to escape from the demands of normal life and have focused time for writing. This was a great place. The rooms were much larger than the pictures appeared. There was more than enough room for everyone. And the host was very welcoming. She even brought me boots so that I could enjoy the trails! Highly recommend. The group is suggesting we boo for next year again already."

"This was our first time staying at Mountaineer Casino. It was a nice experience. Had the wood fired pizza at Gatsby’s. Very good. The casino was very clean and did not have that smoky/stale beer smell. Good mix of older and newer machines. Had a little luck there as well. The restrooms actually had a pleasant smell, which is rare! The rooms are due for an update but couldn’t your own house use one too? Staff was nice as well. Will return !! "
