Where to start. We arrived at the hotel, having driven 5 hours from Hamburg. The parking was exorbitant. The receptionist was the antithesis of warm and welcoming. We got the key for the door, assuming the worst of it was over...
The room posed not only a hygiene concern but a risk to health and safety. The sheets and mattress were covered in hair and stained with blood. There was no soap or toiletries and the toilet showed signs of human waste. The entire room was disgusting and had clearly not been cleaned in some time.
When we raised these issues at reception, we were met with hostility and were told no other rooms were available. Housekeeping was offered for the following morning, but given the unsanitary conditions, we did not feel safe staying even one night.
We found numerous reviews describing similar experiences. This is clearly not an isolated case. Guests report consistent issues with cleanliness, poor customer service, and aggressive communication from management. It appears this hotel has a pattern of failing to meet even basic hospitality standards.
We left and booked alternative accommodation the same night. We were refused a refund, despite the room being clearly unfit for occupancy. Expedia has attempted to assist but the hotel is unwilling to engage in any resolution.
Do not stay at this hotel. There are serious hygiene concerns, and the lack of accountability from the hotel is alarming.
