"We rented the cottage in order to visit the Hawk Tower in the Essex Cty Conservation Area. It was the perfect convenient location and a cozy place to relax after a day spent outdoors. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special way to enjoy the comforts of home in a beautiful natural setting. It was our third visit and we look forward to coming back again."

"Amazing! Had the best time. Loved watching the ships, boats, and airplanes on a daily basis. Sunsets were incredible!! Only thing we didnt love was access to water, was a bit difficult getting up and down the ladder. The town of Amherstburg is a beautiful town, with lots to do...and just a short drive away!"

"Everything you need to sit back and relax. Onlly drawback is the bed in the master bedroom. It wasn't very comfortable for a couple 60 year olds. We like a firm mattress, but this was very hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise our stay was perfect."

"Place was clean, well appointed, easy to access, very quiet. I had some wifi issues that host went above and beyond to solve. The only critique I would suggest is a larger TV as the sitting room is quite large and there’s possibly 20+ feet to the TV. Us older gentleman need the visual help. Would stay again when visiting family in the area."

"The rental was very clean and well maintained. Perfect for our family of five! The owners had thought of everything to make it a pleasant stay. The closeness of the park and marina was a massive plus for our family.y son and husband caught many fish off.the pier. We also visited the restaurant right by the marina.. The view from the house was beautiful! We want to return in the warmer.months!! Thank you for the great communication that the owner had!!! 5 star!!"

It's an old house that has had some nice amenities slapped on to try to make it appealing... kinda like 'lipstick on a pig.'
