"Hubby and I wanted a few days away with our senior rescue pup. We were looking to unwind and this place was perfect. This cottage has an amazing back deck, hot tub and large back yard. Kitchen had everything we needed. We picked the perfect time of year to see all the fall foliage. Definitely recommend!"

"So many good things about this house- great location, so cute, stocked with snacks. My two complaints are 1) the furniture. The couch and chairs are flaking leather, and it’s all over the floors. You can’t lay on the couch, the flakes get everywhere then. I found them in the bed, in my hair… I think that needs to be taken care of. 2) we found a dead mouse in a trap under the couch. Really wish that would have been checked and dealt with before we got there. All in all, I do recommend this house...

"Centrally located to all the wineries and was a great place to stay. Steve was super responsive to the few questions and we couldn’t ask for a better trip. The gas grill and fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook dinner in and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub each night. The beds were comfortable, AC was cold and furnishings were well appointed. "

"The cabins are located in a very quiet, woodsy area. One fear we had was that it might smell musty. We couldn't have been more wrong. The cabin was so inviting and incredibly clean. No musty smell at all. The pictures online show the property well. But, it is even more beautiful in person. The beds were comfortable, linens and towels were high quality and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There is a nice gas fireplace and a nice fire pit outside. I would definitely recommend...

"We took a quick trip to Southern Illinois to celebrate my wife's birthday, and ride the Tunnel Hill Bike Trail. The cabin was very clean, well supplied and comfy bed. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were perfect for relaxing after a day on the trail. A great cabin and area check it out! "

"I have nothing but gushing reviews for my Makanda Cabin stay. The cabin was easy to navigate to. When I opened the door I found a clean, comfortable, well appointed place, with two good size bedrooms, living room with fireplace, a bathroom stocked with plenty of towels and soap. There was a basket full of treats on the kitchen table. Hangers were in the closets, luggage rack and lots of shelves to organise wedding and hiking clothing. I could truly relax there. "We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was cute and cozy, perfect for my husband and me. There is a nice deck to star gaze or sit in the sunshine. Steve, our host, went above and beyond helping us with the TV as we like to relax in the evening while watching sports. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!"
