Sunset Bay Escape is a unique Bruny Island holiday stay. It is a much loved luxury holiday house. With uninterrupted, panoramic coastal views & the most spectacular sunsets this beautiful house is a delight. A perfect base for couples, families, friends & groups for your next Island holiday. The house sleeps 6 people. Swim , fish, kayak less then 200 metres from the house. Situated on the aptly named 'Sunset Bay' this superbly designed & tastefully decorated house is the perfect base to explore.
The house has been professionally designed and built to breathe in the glorious sea and mountain views. The huge glass facade acts as a canvas to the Hartz Mountains, Sunset Bay and Satellite Island. The house has been designed to bring the outside in. The glass wall has a variety of opening doors to ensure you really enjoy the inside and outside flow. Over the past 12 months we have replaced the fridge, a new BBQ, smart TV, solar HWU, outdoor furniture and replaced the decking front & back with beautiful
merbeau hardwood decking. We have also upgraded the air conditioning with new units installed in bedrooms 1 & 2 as well as a new unit in the main living area!

The house is a real entertainers delight. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are all tastefully furnished and the queen size beds are of high quality. The hotel quality linen ensures for a beautiful nights sleep.

The master bedroom alone is 37 square metres in size and has a flat screen TV, luxury ensuite, chaise lounge.

The main living areas have both reverse cycle heating and cooling and a large wood fire. The kitchen is equipped with a beautiful Ariston 6 burner gas oven, dishwasher, microwave, stone benchtops and quality kitchen wear. The kitchen is fully stocked to accommodate for our guests who love to cook. With the wonderful variety of Tasmanian produce at your disposal it really is a pleasure to utilise the kitchen facilities.

Leather recliners in the living area are beautifully comfortable and a real treat when wanting to lie back, relax and watch a DVD, TV or listen to music. The DVD and CD collection is very substantial. There is also a variety of books, including cook books to choose from. The TV room is equipped with ceiling speakers to take advantage of playing music and appreciating the great acoustics.

The house has a huge sun deck that takes full advantage of the uninterrupted panoramic sea and mountain views. A great place to spot black cockatoos, wallabies, sea eagles, parrots. Enjoy a barbeque on the deck or lie back on the sun lounges or dine on the outdoor dining table. There is also a large deck at the front of the house, equipped with table and chairs to enjoy the morning sunshine.

Perfect house for 3 couples on Bruny

The location of the house is excellent as you can easily do day trips to the north and south of the Island and to Adventure Bay. It is a few minutes walk to Hotel Bruny which has fantastic meals. The house has a wonderful view looking back to the mainland and of Satellite Island with a deck at the front and back of the house which is perfect to avoid the wind depending on the direction. Both decks have outdoor table and chairs. The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishings very comfortable. We had a group of 3 couples and the house was perfect as each had their own bathroom. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. It was a perfect house to stay while exploring the island.

Wenn der Preis hoch ist, darf man pingeliger sein und Gutes erwarten.

Die Lage ist wirklich toll, das kommt auch in den Bildern der Anzeige rĆ¼ber. Die EigentĆ¼mer haben auch in etliche Details investiert wie 3 KlimagerƤte, eine Barrista De Longhi Maschine. SpĆ¼lmaschine, AuƟengrill, groƟer TV. Die schwarze Designer Liege ist fertig - der KunstlederĆ¼berzug ist fast vollstƤndig abgeflockt in der Sonne. AuƟensitz-Rattan-Mƶbel aus Kunststoff sind wohl mit massivem Holztisch neu, aber leider defekt. (Hab sie mit eigenem Isolierband notrepariert zum Sitzen.) Die Kaffeemaschine wƤre toll, aber schlecht gewartet. Irgendwas klemmt im Mahlwerk, so kƶnnen Kaffeebohnen nur in grƶbster Stufe geschrotet werden. Schade - ist Sache des Housekeepings, das zB auch keine SpĆ¼lmaschinentabs bereitlegt. Wenigstens ein FeuerholzanzĆ¼nder lag da, aber kein Spanholz oder Papier zum AnzĆ¼nden, nur eine schwere Axt drauƟen beim Holz (Verletzungsgefahr!!!). Ich habe den Eindruck, die EigentĆ¼mer kƶnnen selten vor Ort sein, also mĆ¼ssen Sie sich auf das Housekeeping verlassen kƶnnen. Das scheint weniger gut zu klappen, wenn beispielsweise die GlasschiebetĆ¼r in einem Schlafraum nicht verriegelt war bei unserer Ankunft. Oder ein StĆ¼ck vom Deko-Balsaholz-Fisch auf dem Nachttisch liegt. Ich hatte Klebstoff dabei und mich erbarmt. Aber wenn ich einen 5-Sterne-Preis aufrufe, dann muss ich auch 5 Sterne liefern. Vielleicht schon mal Holz im Kamin als Beispiel. Es gab genĆ¼gend KĆ¼chenvorrƤte wie Ɩl,Reis, GewĆ¼rze, Nudeln, das war toll. Und viel Waschmittel fĆ¼r die WaMa. Die Matratzen mies

This is the nicest holiday home on the island. Beautiful views, everything you could possibly need in the house and close to the pub and cafe at the end of the street. Outstanding as ever as we stayed here 10 years ago and was not disappointed with the home, location, and responsiveness of the owner. No wonder itā€™s booked solid!

Alonnah is one of the best Bruny Island beaches to walk along. The house is large , as dramatic as in the photos and generously stocked with pantry basics. The front deck was superb! Hotel Bruny is a great local, and donā€™t miss Issyā€™s Bar (about 4km away).

Sunset Bay was a dream - the view from this house was exceptional to the point that we only ever reluctantly left the house. The kids thought it was ā€œthe best house everā€. Location was amazing either with an easy stroll to dinner at Bruny Island hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful location, view to Satellite Island was amazing. House is beautifully setout with ample room for three couples. Excellent central location. Wonderful home to relax and enjoy time together and also to return to after a day of exploring the island.

What a view

First time on Bruny and chose this place as it looked great and next to the pub. As soon as we opened the front door we were in awe by the view. 2 bedrooms and the whole living area have the same spectacular view. We only used main bedroom and the bed was super comfy. Took a while to get the house heated up but thats the price you pay for floor to ceiling views. If we get back to bruny we will def stay again

This property is incredibly comfortable and spacious. Although there is space in between, including a quiet road, the full glass doors looking over to the bay and islands make a wonderful outlook. it was especially nice when the rain was beating down and the winds were blowing to stay inside in the warmth and watch the beautiful waterscape.

Awesome Stay

An excellent view, great location and property. A wonderful place to stay for families, friends and to include whatever age. The only things to let the owner know was that the accomodation could benefit with screen doors, on front and back and a power point in the bathroom of the bedroom, front right side facing the ocean.

Lovely stay in convenient location

Great house with amazing views, with a well equiped kitchen and some toys for the kids. The house was just a 5 minute walk to the general store, Hotel Bruny, liquor store and a calm beach, which my children visited daily. It did get very hot in the afternoons, especially if the blinds were left open, but this is just the consequence of one entire side of the house being walked in glass! Every room had an Airconditioning unit though. Our host, Mark, was very responsive to all queries and easy to contact. Thanks again for a great stay.
