We were sold already when the gentle horses came up to us to let us pet them when we arrived but the whole experience was lovely for my husband, 4-year-old, 9-month-old and dog and I. Very comfortable cabin with everything we needed and the hot tub overlooking the forest is stunning after going for a hike. "Property was as described, older cottage and clean. In a very quiet neighborhood up the road from the National Park Sandstone Visitors Center. There was quite a bit of train activity, up to 6 passes in the middle of the night. We knew about it from other reviews and it didn’t really bother us. We woke up and fell back asleep. "

"We visited New River Gorge for my son's senior trip. He loves to fish so we wanted to stay close to the water. This home was perfect! The river was just across the road with easy access. The house was as described and had everything we needed for a comfortable 5 night stay. The host was wonderful and quickly responded to my questions. We loved our time on the New River!"

"Beautiful location, lovely facilities. My cottage had flimsy boards on the porch, which need replacing. My room was very nice, but also had some structural integrity issues. The floor was very wavy. The uneven floor made it impossible to close the bathroom door. (Thank goodness I was alone.)The HVAC units in the room were not working properly, but maintenance responded very quickly. "
