Weekend getaway
This place is perfect for a weekend getaway. It is a very clean property but does need some updating with the kitchen ware. The property manager is amazing! Molly specifically was easy to communicate with by quick responding to any questions and was kind in general. I would stay again for a weekend.

This property was NOT clean spider webs and centipedes were all around. It was very run down. The firplace did not work, the deck looks like you could fall through and the interior lighting had a individual switch for each light and all the lighting was very very dim. LOCATION IS GREAT, CLEANING IS REALLY SAD. YOU HAVE SPIDER WEBS EVERY WHERE, SOFA AND BEDDING STINKS. WE END UP BUYING OUR OWN BED SHEETS . WIFI IS VERY WEAK ALWAYS REBOOT. Lots of things were broken or barely working including the fireplace, TVs, and A/C. The fridge was making insanely loud noises all night keeping us awake. The sofa was disgusting. The neighborhood pool had no lounge chairs or bathrooms. It was not a very pleasant vacation

Love the place but needs work. The fridge didn’t keep cold and the freezer didn’t work either. There is no light at the entrance door. So have your phone or flash light ready.

Could be better
When I booked I knew the property itself would be dated. I was totally ok with that. But there were some issues with the house that could be better that has nothing to do with the age or decoration. 1- the bathroom : the toilet paper holder was broken and just left hanging on the wall in disarray. 2- the grill was dirty and unusable 3- the kitchen: the house can be rented for up to 8 people and there are only cups and dishes for maybe 4 people. In addition there is very little cookware. I very small frying pan and a few very small pots. The community is very nice. The clubhouse had a nice pool and beach area. I would recommend this property if you don’t mind rustic accommodations and have 4 or less people.

Sad little crooked house
Unsafe deck that leans and is slippery with mold(almost fell).Reason for renting was the fireplace and it didn't work. Propane tank read empty, owner said it still had 45 lbs but nobody fixed it. TV remotes w/o batteries. Bought batteries but remotes didn;t match tv's. Instruction book needs updating. Mentioned gas grill, only found a rusty charcoal grill nobody would ever use.Instructions never mentioned I needed to turn on 6 breakers to get heat. Spent first night cold.Over all just disappointing. A lot of money for nothing. I'll go back to ABnB.

Location good but that’s it
Run down as if owner doesn’t want to put money into it. Check out 10. But trash dump not open till 11. Address for trash wrong. Yard full of dog poop. We were told we had to pick up parking pass afterwards and lady at front desk said we should’ve picked it up. Wanted to grill but grill was replaced with a smoker. 1 metal fork.

Low key Bachelorette weekend
So I should have read the reviews before booking because they were accurate. While the house itself was very clean that was about it. The place was old and desperately needed updates, not just for cosmetic reasons. They stress multiple times that we must clean our dishes we use. Well 1. The dishes provided were disgusting, they certainly were not cleaned. 2. No dish soap was provided, we had to find a store and go buy our own. The kitchen table and chairs were unusable and falling apart. There was a big hole in the back of the house and it was being held up by pallets! Didn’t seem safe at all! If there was wifi, there was no info for it. There was no map. The fireplace was broken. Outlets upstairs didn’t work. The owner was very responsive and helpful by text, I feel bad leaving such a bad review but it was not a good stay.

Great Poconos Cabin, but a little vintage
Overall good space and good location. The beds were comfy and the patio space was quite nice. The kitchen set up was not the best (no dishwasher soap, no oil), and the appliances were a little older but things generally worked. We didn't get a chance to use to pool, but the facilities seem nice and convenient.

Left within hours WILL NOT PAY have multiple photos of feces in the Washing machine (same washer they clean bedding with). Bugs and dirt in silverware drawers. LITERALLY LEFT RUNNING

My wife and I booked a weekend stay at the cabin for a cozy getaway where we could enjoy a fire and get away from life for a little. Unfortunately, the cabins fireplace was broken which I was informed had been discovered before our arrival but we were not made aware until I called to ask about it. My wife and I chose this particular cabin over others specifically because of the fireplace. We booked two nights but ended up leaving early because, despite the thermostat being set to 75, without the fireplace the cabin remained in the low 60s. Apart from that the cabin was not very clean upon arrival, however it was shoveled out which we appreciated. My wife and I were glad we went because we needed a getaway but we were very disappointed and would not stay again or recommend the cabin to others.

Could have been better
We got there late at night and had trouble even finding the property, or the driveway for that matter. It was pretty cool to see a doe and her fawns in the front yard when we arrived. My fiancé went to go open the door and the keypad almost would not open. We sat there for close to 5 minutes or more just trying to get the door open so we could go inside. I always check any property for bed bugs and roaches before I bring my stuff in. This property did not have any of those, but it wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The one bedroom down stairs ended up having trash all over under the bed. I am very clean, and this place could have been better. The house needs a lot of improvements to it. The toilet feels like it is going to fall in the floor when you sit on it. Overall, I would probably not stay here again. The whole time I was there I just felt not clean.

The house was exactly as described. It was well stocked with the basics. It was clean and well kept. Our kids LOVED the tire swing! 5 stars for this place- would love to stay there again.

Photos are enhanced and not a well maintained property
Observations: 1. Scolding, dangerously hot water 2. Two out of three outside doors don’t open (Stuck shut- owner just told us to use the one that works!) 3. House smelled terrible 4. Lake was closed for ecoli but owner didn’t think it was necessary to communicate that to his renters 5. Trash around the outside of the house 6. Deck steps are rotting 7. Kitchen: Only 2 pots in the kitchen (no lids) and a crockpot with no crock. 8. Owner is the contact person on listing but blames and pushes everything off on another contact person (calling multiple people is not how someone wants to spend their vacation being bounced around) 9. Do you get the picture? Avoid Joe’s Chalet!
