"Clean and welcoming! The interior was great, the yard not so much, but the inside was fine. Enough bathrooms to accommodate everyone and the window air conditioners were great. It was a short drive to the down town. The beds were a little short for my 6'2" husband, but there was plenty of beds to spread out too, as there was only 4 of us and the house will sleep at least 6."

"Cabin was perfect for us. Very private. Beautiful property! Listening to the wind blow through the trees was just what we needed; so relaxing and serene. Heard elk calling at night! There were deer every morning and evening in the front and back yard! Everything was perfect. "

"This is a fun property. It has great facilities. The tub and lots of hot water after a long day oh yeah!! It's close to restaurants and the hiking in the area is good. "

"This is the second time we have stayed here and once again, it was great. This property very well appointed and well maintained. It is a short walk to Main St. La Veta, which is very nice. Sitting on the deck in the afternoon, with the sun and the Cuchara River is very relaxing. It is a great choice!"

"We have stayed at this cabin several times and already have our next trip booked!! This place is for the nature lovers 🌲 the ones who do NOT want to be connected to a TV or phone 😊 Great trails on the property to go explore and listen to the wind blow through the trees. Terrific deck with lots of seating to enjoy the view of the Spanish Peaks! Craig and Judy are exceptional hosts and always take great care of us! "

"We loved staying at the School House. It was very comfortable, nicely furnished with fun memorabilia, and it is in a great location. The manager was very helpful. We would love to stay here again. "

"Kerey was super helpful, house had everything we needed for our little weekend getaway. We particularly loved listening to the babbling brook right outside the window! The perfect distance between two quaint little towns. We would absolutely come back."

"The host was very good explaining everything. this is the most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed at, kitchen had virtually everything, place was roomy, clean, laundry and everything 3 hunters could ask for. In beginning with snow driveway was a challenge but so were roads! Very happy with everything!"

"The La Quinta, Trinidad is one of the best motels in its class that I have stayed at. The check in was great and the staff was welcoming! The room was clean and well maintained. I had dogs with me and the gal at the desk moved us from the 3rd floor to a room near the doors on the 1st floor for ease of acces for them. The breakfest was good and there was a nice area to sit and an outdoor patio with a view. There was also a fitness room. I would go back here to stay, in a heartbeat!! "
