"We had a great stay house was really clean and comfortable but unfortunatly it is about 20 km from the train station as it says on website its 15 min walk so we had to get taxis in and out of town which was 30 euro each way Also they don't have credit card facilities so the money had to be revoluted or cash and we weren't informed of this untill day 2.."

"What a great stay! My daughters said it was the best place we stayed on our whole trip, and wish we stayed longer. We loved the remote location and beautiful setting. It is just a short walk past fields of grazing sheep and cows to Carrowinsky Strand, which is a stunning beach. The owner provided a packet with helpful information in nearby Louisburgh. The easiest way to find the property is to follow directions to Carrowinsky Strand and the house is on the left side about 800m from the beach. If...

"Traveling from the US with two young kids (2 and 4 years old) it was so nice to have two bathrooms, a kitchen and the extra space. The hosts are very friendly, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were comfy."

"Cabin is adorable and location is beautiful. However, the owner says the heat goes on in “am and pm” which is a stretch. The heat goes on for about an hour in the evening and in the morning. The cabin is the sane temperature as the outside. It was 9 degrees centigrade and the little coal stove could not warm the bedrooms, kitchen or bathroom. We had to check out early and find a hotel because our kids were freezing. I tried to contact the owner when we arrived but did not answer the phone. Just...

"The cottage was perfect for our family of 5 adults. Plenty of space, even an outdoor space to enjoy coffee in the morning. Clean and well stocked. The owner was helpful when we couldn’t figure out the oven! Would stay again!"

"Excellent location. Interesting walks from the door. Good views when the mist lifted. Comfortable sitting room. Well stocked with kitchen equipment. Communication when arriving was good. Gillian, who met me, was helpful, friendly and efficient and gave me some good advice about the area. Matresses were a bit basic. "Very enjoyable once we were able to get access to the property. We were told to contact Karen but no phone number left asking local neighbours did they now any phone numbers and one neighbour new the cleaner and she gave us the code to access the property. For the 4 days we were there nobody contacted us or check if we were even there So check in procedure very poor when you’ve been travelling 13hours"
