We had a very spacious and lovely room which was clean and well equipped. The view from the windows was spectacular and impressive.
The Fort itself is located at a top location and it could potentially be a three star hotel but at the moment there are some shortcomings which should be amended. There was a restaurant menu in our room but when we went to the restaurant for dinner at 8 pm the restaurant was deserted and the lights had been switched off. During our stay there was no hot water, the telephone was out of order, just like the elevator. Wifi didn’t work. When we went to the restaurant the next morning to have breakfast we were shocked to find a staff member sleeping on a mattress on the Floor in the lobby. Breakfast consisted of two slices of white bread with margarine and a tiny cup of miserable coffee. Nothing else. A great disappointment. Our biggest concern however was the garbage all around in the garden and a tray of food left in the hallway. Mister Shakti Singh, the friendly receptionist asked for my feedback which I appreciated and he promised things would be different when we would return next time.
I should add that during our stay there was a shortage of staff because it was 1 January.
