"Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The host couldnt have done more to make us feel welcome with lots of extra special touches. She left oatcskes, local cheese and butter, homemade jam and shortcake, ive never stayed anywhere like it for thoughtfulness. Superb, will definitely return."

"When we arrived the check in process was very easy. The cottage itself was very clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and two bathrooms which is great of you stay with a whole family. If you want to use the hot tub make sure to tell the owners immediately once you book. I told them a week before arriving and had had to ask twice to be able to use it. We could see in the guest book other people had been greeted with welcome basket. We didn’t. Would also been great if there were a welcome letter...

"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "

You get what you pay for...Let me start by saying the location in Scotland is great for access to many sightseeing locations but the house is on the main road and the bedrooms bordering the road do not allow anyone to sleep past 6am unless you are used to sleeping next to a busy road. "A lovely property which is well situated. It had everything we needed. Unfortunately there is a lot of noise transfer from the apartment above. When I tried to contact the owner it took 4 days to get an answer, despite me using the numbers provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would definitely stay in the top apartment next time."

"Our family (2 kids: 3yrs & 6yrs) had a wonderful time staying here. It's a beautiful, spacious and comfortable flat. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome hamper of snacks and coffee, toys for the kids, family board games and use of the huge and lovely garden. The flat is in walking distance of Stirling town centre and King's park, with an excellent play park for kids. We hope to stay here again."

"Absolutely filthy flat. It's clean the doors, walls, handles, light switches, etc had never been cleaned. We had t go to Co-Op to get sanitizing wipes and spent the first hour cleaning the place. To top it off there was a tip jar in the kitchen for the cleaning staff? As full time travelers homes that was a first. Tacky. The listing also listed a dryer, which was an absolute requirement for us, and the flat did not have one. Falsely advertising the lodging is a crime "
