"A cheap place to stay if you just need a place to sleep. Run down and mostly broken. Add to it the most inhospitable and rude receptionist which complained about everything but found it OK to "walk" his dog for a 5am morning pee at the trash cans in the small common area backyard."

"Suite was beautiful. One of the nicest we've stayed in Scotland. Self-serve breakfast and snacks in our suite were delicious, ample, and restocked. Loved it. A little out of the main part of town, but it takes seconds to drive and minutes to walk. "

"This is a wonderful hotel, great location to access everything on Iona, staff clearly enjoy working there, as nothing was too much trouble and shared lots of local knowledge and lovely warm hospitality. Really helpful to have concierge to help with bags up from the ferry. The hotel lounge is just as enjoyable as seeing the island as it looks across the water and so you can just breathe in the view. Food was high standard and lovely they have a kitchen garden so lots of fresh organic...

"The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."

"Ian's lodge proved to be super quaint in a quiet part of Kilchoan and up a slight hill, with a view of the water in the distance. Secluded surroundings making an evening on the porch ideal and private. Nice over hang making sit outs in the rain ideal and atmospheric. Very close to Kilchoan grocery store which also has a petrol station and with Kilchoan Hotel only a 5 minute walk away. So you have all the amenities on your doorstep. Great location for exploring the furthest part of Ardnamurchin...
