"We loved our stay in Lake Placid to see the Total Solar Eclipse! We had been looking forward to the trip for a year, and were very happy with this home - it was very comfortable for our family that included an infant and a toddler, as well as 8 adults. "The apartment is beautifully managed. It is very cozy indeed. The owner maintained communication with us constantly when needed and his response was on time. "It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity....
